  • Yes, we accept CDCP patients. When booking, please have your Sun Life member card or plan details ready so we can verify your coverage.

  • The CDCP is a federal program administered by Sun Life designed to make dental care more affordable. It is available to eligible Canadian residents without private dental insurance who have an adjusted family net income under $90,000/year.

  • No. Anyone enrolled in the plan with an active Sun Life CDCP member card can book directly with us.

  • The CDCP covers a significant portion of dental costs, but it is not a free program. Out-of-pocket costs typically arise from two factors:

    • Co-payments: Depending on your adjusted family net income ($70,000–$89,999), you may be responsible for a co-payment of 40%–60% of CDCP fees.

    • Fee discrepancies: Our clinic follows the BC Dental Association (BCDA) fee guide. Because the federal CDCP fee schedule pays less than the provincial guide, patients are responsible for the difference.

    ⚠️ Our Promise: We will always review your coverage, calculate any co-payments or fee differences, and provide a clear cost estimate before treatment begins.

  • The plan covers a wide range of standard dental treatments, though some require pre-authorization:

    • Preventive care: Cleanings, exams, X-rays, fluoride, and sealants

    • Basic restorative: Fillings, root canals, and extractions

    • Periodontal: Deep cleanings and gum disease management

    • Major services: Complete and partial dentures, and crowns (pre-authorization required)

    Note: Cosmetic treatments such as whitening and veneers are not covered. Dental implants are limited to specific clinical exceptions and require strict pre-authorization.

  • For complex treatments, crowns, dentures, or deep periodontal work, the CDCP requires prior approval from Sun Life. Our team handles all paperwork, digital X-rays, and submissions. Once approval is issued, we'll contact you to schedule your appointment.

  • Yes. If you are covered by both a BC provincial dental plan and the CDCP, we can coordinate the two at our front desk to maximize your eligible benefits.

  • Coverage renews annually. For most members, this happens automatically as long as you file your Canadian income tax return on time each year, allowing the government to re-verify your income eligibility.

  • We are on the second floor of our building in downtown Vancouver, a short walk from both Burrard and Granville SkyTrain stations.

    • Monday & Friday: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm

    • Tuesday & Thursday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

    • Wednesday: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
